We have many new experiences in these camps for example in this first year through MYP1C every single student has learn to sail an awesome amazing new skills!

not for MYP4 and MYP5's. Four or five days are a reasonable time, maybe for the younger ones can be less.

Poor timing at the beginning of the year: it is useless to have an entire week of carousel after MYP1... a day or two is fine but a week is too much. This should be taken into consideration

I absolutely agree! Not only are the trips fun, but they are also very useful for bonding with other people and making new friends as well as welcoming the new kids and reuniting with friends! It gives a fresh start and a new experience!

I agree and support this stamen. I agree with that fact that it does let us ( students and teachers) to bond more with each other. I too was really disappointed when I heard that there was no trip and I think that the fact that we are an eco school is a poor excuse for saving money. how are we an eco school if yet in every lesson I am getting a small worksheet contain around three to four pages of paper.

I think the back to school trip is very important for the kids to get back to school after a long period of holiday and also a away for new students to meet each the new colleagues and creat bounds. I hope AICS management will reconsider this decision.

Please find other dates and make appropriate arrangements so that students can go and learn in this fantastic way without is affecting those students and teachers from.the groups that stay at Aics. If in the end, you cannot find a way to make this happen, it is only fair that we get our money back and you make us pay specifically for any activities that Aics might organize as a replacement.

The school promissed not to eliminate the back to school trip but to move it to May but this is not happening, they canceled it and kept the one that had been always in May/June. It is disapointing that the school is not keeping their word. If this is taking place, Excursion fees to be reduced.

School trips are a great way to begin the school year as it allows us to meet and interact with one another before school begins. One of the major issues is the fact that it’s three weeks after school starts. However, I find that the carousels are not very relevant for students who have been at the school for several years and know the elements of the IB such as service. I recommend that new students learn the IB components in a smaller carousel either before/after school. By adjusting this, we could use this time to go on the school trips without interfering with the existing schedule.

My son joined AICS in 1IB. The back to school trip played a very important part in him bonding with the other children and feeling integrated in the school. I do believe that if he hadn't had the opportunity to go on this trip it would have taken him a lot longer to settle into school life at ACIS socially and therefore also academically.
