Reinstate Ashley Behrens as Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter Director

When someone is passionate about the love of furbabies they deserve respect

As a long time volunteer at the shelter and a resident of Brookhaven I ask that you keep Ashley as the director. I’ve seen failed directors before and seen the animals and community not be served. Ashley has done amazing things at the shelter and in our community. Please do not let her go!!!

Ashley is far too much an asset to the Brookhaven Animal Shelter, to Have her resign. PEASE , REINSTATE ASHLEY AS DIRECTOR OF BROOKHAVEN ANIMAL SHELTER ... THE LOST AND ABANDONED PETS OF OUR COMMUNITY NEED HER !!!!

Just do it!

Brookhaven Animal Shelter and all the sweet animals there need Ashley Behrens!!

We need someone who cares for the animals.! Please do the right thing for the animals.

I firmly believe Ashley Behrens should be reinstated.

Big loss for the animals. Ashley is irreplaceable.

I'm concerned for the well-being of the shelter without Ashley

Ashley has done an amazing job at The Town Of Brookhaven Animal Shelter for the past 5 years. She has done her best to keep the animals safe with her knowledge and expertise. I manage the Missing Angels - Long Island page and it is imperative to keep the lines of communication open with shelters. Working with Ashley these past years has been an absolute pleasure ensuring that we can work together to reunite families with their pets as best we can. Ashley has been one of the most supportive Directors of any shelter on LI to help find families of strays. She has provided and earned the respect of animal advocates, whether helping with Lost and Found or the Rescue Community. We all must support Ashley and keep her mission going strong!

Ashley is the best!

Absolutely

Ashley is an extremely professional animal advocate, thanks to her the Brookhaven shelter was exemplary. It is a travesty to let her leave. Do everything possible to keep her. It is in the best interest of the shelter animals and the public.

The shelter has come a long way under the direction of Ashley. It would be a complete disservice to the animals, taxpayers and community to allow such progress go to waste. Ashley is great at what she does and knows the runnings of the shelter inside and out. Please reinstate her.

There has been a huge improvement since Ashley Behrens arrived at the shelter.

She is a great director!

As someone who works in animal rescue, my experience with the Ashley Behrens and Brookhaven has always be outstanding. Ashley was extremely professional, has great ethics, went above and beyond what the job required and had the highest level of compassion. Her resignation is a huge loss for the Town of Brookhaven’s animals. For the sake of our animals and community I pray that she is reinstated.

Ashley has gone above and beyond for the homeless animals of Brookhaven. She is an asset to the town and an ally to the animal rescue community. The town supervisor would be doing a great disservice to the people of Brookhaven by allowing her to resign.

Ashley had turned the Brookhaven Animal Shelter around. Losing her direction is a huge loss, not just for the animals but everyone in the township. I’m guessing people are forgetting what a mess it used to be...

We need her back
