Reinstate Ashley Behrens as Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter Director

Love the work being don here. Great group of caring, loving ans socially conscious people

Ashley is EXACTLY what the shelter needs! She has gone ABOVE and BEYOND to bring the shelter to what it is today! The animals, the public and rescue groups NEED Ashley back ASAP!

She cares about animals

As a friend and supporter of the shelter for more than 20 years, I can say with confidence that Ashley has made a tremendous positive impact on the lives of Brookhaven's most vulnerable residents - the lost, displaced or homeless dogs and cats and other small animals. She is available and present at the shelter and on social media - always willing to go the extra mile to reunite a lost pet with their family or provide shelter and care to those awaiting their forever home. She has made the shelter a pleasant and welcoming environment for potential adopters, volunteers and employees. Brookhaven Animal Shelter NEEDS Ashley.

reinstate , now. why is thus even being done

This is a Community tragedy. We finally after years of a dark sad place. Where the dogs + cats had very little chance for a future or a home. We finally had a bright positive atmosphere @ the shelter. The Dogs +Cats had hope, there was someone who really cared, had experience and wanted to help and share with staff and volunteers. She was always encouraging and thinking of ideas and opportunities to benefit all the crybabies who live there. Everyone is Heartbroken that this happened, including the furbabies that have to live there. This has impact on the whole TOWN! I will share this happening with every person I know, with every person I see or greet.

Do the right thing!

Bring Ashley back!!

Bring Ashley back!!!

Reinstate Ashley Behrens!

Only heard great things while she was the director. Hope the town truly considers her back.

I’m shocked Ashley is no longer there she ran that shelter with great skill and compassion and was always very professional. You will be hard pressed to fill her shoes!!!!

Ashley is always a very big help online especially with missing dogs. I was in contact with her multiple times and I think she’s amazing!

Hopefully the video will be re reviewed and the obvious criminal will be prosecuted instead of the woman dedicated to taking care of unwanted animals and following protocol.

Ashley is an amazing person with a great work ethic.

Reinstate her!!!

Mrs Behrens has been an efficient, dedicated, and effective leader of the Shelter for many years. Please effect her reinstatement to head up the shelter.

She did great job and our Long Island Fur Babies deserve the best bring her back!!!

Ashley was amazing. I volunteer with a local rescue group and have seen many shelters. She made a difference.

We need good people protecting the innocent with no voice.
