Reinstate Ashley Behrens as Town of Brookhaven Animal Shelter Director

Ashley needs to be reinstated so she can continue doing what she is so great at.

She is an amazing person with the animals ❤️she needs to stay at Brookhaven shelter she has a heart of gold and does so much with the animals ❤️

This is so sad. The Town Officials should be ashamed and voted out.

Ashley Behrens has made Brookhaven Shelter a true shelter for so many animals...we have the best shelter in the state thanks to Ashley...it would be a grave injustice not to reinstate her to her prevous position...she would be a huge loos to the animals and families of our community

I have never met an individual so dedicated to her responsibilities who goes above and beyond in all aspects of her work.Reinstate this incredible director.

Brookhaven Town Animal Shelter needs Ashley Behrens back! Please reinstate Ashley. We all keep thinking & saying the same thing. This cannot be true. This is not happening. Its a mistake. Mistakes can be corrected. Its never too late. Once acknowledged mistakes can & should be used as a learning & growing tool . Based on my 15 years of animal welfare experience I firmly believe that nobody is better suited for her job. Ashley balanced both worlds her loyalty & position as a town employee & her lifelong dream to help animals. Ashley's experience ensured all animals in the shelter were treated with the care & compassion they needed. Ashley is highly respected & looked up to by all. The outpouring of loyalty & support for her should speak volumes to all.

She was in it for the animals and what was best for them please reconsider there no one like her

I love Ashley. She is the reason our current fur babies, a dog (2013) and two kitty cats (2014) were adopted from the Brookhaven Shelter

As a long time volunteer and foster parent, I can say you will never find a director who is more dedicated to the animals of Brookhaven. This situation needs to be resolved and she needs to be reinstated.

Ashley is one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. She has done amazing things for Brookhaven shelter over the last 5 years. Brookhaven needs her!

How do you get rid of someone who takes care of those poor homeless baby's? What a shame .

We need the shelter to remain the same. She's done a great job!
