Shame he wasn't re-elected, as he appear to be attentive to local issues.

Andrew is the only councillor visible in his ward, does much for the environment, is accessible to residents and listens to their concerns, doing what he can to help.

Councillor Curtin's conservation work in the borough has been outstanding and should be allowed to continue.

Andrew has been a good cabinet member for Culture in Havering. He should not have been de-selected by newcomers.

I would like to support the request to reinstate Andrew Curtin as he has worked so hard to the people of Havering especially in relation to the arts, culture, parks and libraries. He will be hard to replace and to drop him makes no sense.

I think that Andrew is the most inspiring and hardworking councillor in Havering and Romford cannot afford to lose a man of his calibre.

COMMENTS I did wonder why we had been given a new council contact, especially as Andrew Curtin is the only on of my local representatives that I have actually seen doing anything!!!!!

This is extraordinary, given an email I received from Judith suggesting there was a lot more to the story - but she couldn't disclose it!! Are we really to believe that Andrew and Judith are not in agreement with this deselection?

The convenience of axing someone who cares about the arts just as we are expecting the next round of cuts.

I do not like getting rid of people for no good reason.I have e-mailed andrew on
serveral times and have always had promp replys and taken an interest unlike when I have e-mailed the council itself and never get an answer.
I too would like an explanation why he has been deselected.

Andrew Curtin is one of the most hard working, honest people I have ever had the privilege to know. He is that rare breed nowadays - a conscientious, self effacing & (dare I say) kind politician. He works for the benefit of his community not for what he can gain personally from public office. The political world would be a far better place with more people of Andrew's calibre & integrity.

I echo every sentiment of this 'reinstate Andrew Curtin' campaign. For a councillor of this calibre and dedication to be so shabbily and shamefully treated after many years of outstanding service is a travesty of justice. It's great that this petition has been organised....keep at it....

This is a terrible miscarriage of justice. Andrew Curtin is the best councillor I have experienced in 55years living in the borough. What right have the young squirts trying to usurp him as they are totally lacking in experience common sense
