6th grade camp was a fun and enriching part of my middle school experience. The counselors, the food, the cabin activities. That was back in'03. Future generations shouldn't have to miss out, esp. with our tech-saturated world nowadays.

In this age of cell phones, iPads and earbuds, kids need this experience more than ever! Not only does camp enrich their scientific understanding, it creates opportunities to connect with other students face to face.

6th grade camp provides an invaluable experience and should be incorporated into the curriculum available to every student; not just an extra curricular activity available to only a few who are lucky enough to sign up early.

Great memories of going to Camp Cuyamaca for 6th grade camp 37 years ago. Kids need this kind of thing, add it back in.

Please reinstate 6th grade camp. My older two kids went and loved it, was talking the other day to my current 5th grader about 6th grade camp and how much fun he will have only to get an email a day later saying it might be gone. It’s a tradition/rite of passage that I would hate to see go away!

I am a 79 yr old who went to 6th grade camp and I can still remember it. The thing I learned there I still remember. I think there is great value to be learned by our youngsters there. It's up to us to make it happen. Whatever it takes ...

I have a 5th grader and a 1st grader in LMSV Schools. They are really looking forward to the 6th grade camp experience and I am willing to support fundraising and grant writing efforts to fund it.

Such a great learning experience for our kiddos. So thankful to ladies who have volunteered their time to make sure this was available to our sixth graders year after year, but we couldn't expect them to do it forever! Other districts have 6th grade camp has part of their curriculum and so should LMSVSD!
