Do you know how much work it takes each of these programs? To fire both of them is excessive and unnecessary. Both work extremely hard in their careers and I’m in Marching Mizzou. We truly cherish the hard work these directors put forth in their programs. You’re doing the university a dishonor by firing them.

My highschool cheer coach cheered at Mizzou and she learned the best from them. She was the best coach I ever had and always helped us to be better and to go for our dreams
Don't fire coaches who are doing amazing things with their students and helping them succeed and be amazing coaches as well. You are a fool if you let them go.

Suzy not only shows enormous support for her athletes, but always expresses her care and appreciation for the band, too. Shame on Athletics for handling their shift in a new direction this way.

Firing people who were doing a great job, a total Mizzou move. Y'all should be ashamed. Did you even know Shannon or Suzy? They embodied Mizzou and their Spirit Squads. Firing them was a ginormous mistake. Don't fix something that's not broken.

Once again Mizzou is an embarrassment. These ladies are dedicated to Mizzou and take pride in their work. It shows! It also shows that Mizzou just keeps on making bad decisions. Once a big Mizzou fan. It's becoming harder and harder to stay that way!

Outraged over the inexcusable way this was done and will be following this story closely to see how this position is filled. Sincerely doubt either of these fine ladies will be allowed to 'reapply ' for the open position. Truly a sad day for the university and a look at the classless way our athletic department has been run for the last several years.
