I am a Mizzou grad and love my school, but this was handled very poorly by Mizzou. Coach Suzie gives all of herself to the cheer program. No one is more dedicated than Suzie and Shannon.

Suzy is one fine lady and doesn’t deserve to be treated in this manner. I can’t believe MU would go this low to treat a Hall of Fame lady in this manner..

As a father that had a daughter under Coach Suzie’s for 4 years I and shocked and outraged at what the athletic department has done. They never gave a hoot about the cheer team but now seem to be experts on how it should be run. This is a travesty that needs corrected.

She is the best thing for mizzou cheer. She is family and being one of her athletes was the best thing to ever happen to me. She loves cheer, loves mizzou, and most importantly loves all her athletes unconditionally!

As a member of marching mizzou, I traveled on many trips with Coach Suzy! Such a wonderful person to represent the university! She always carried herself in the most positive way, win or lose!

Forever Black and Gold! Make it Right Mizzou! We need Suzy Thompson to be our Cheerleading Coach! Please reinstate her! I am counting on my Alma Mater to do the right thing!

When the football team can actually attend a nationally televised and well respected bowl game then you can look about improving the cheerleading squad but until then maybe you should worry more about the actual teams the cheerleaders support and not fire coaches who know their job and perform them damn well.

I've met Suzy on multiple occasions attending Mizzou events. She is a wonderful woman and a wonderful representation of Mizzou. She has given so much to your school. Please rehire her!

The Missouri athletic department likes to throw around the slogan “Make it Right”. Now it’s time to see if those words actually mean something or if it’s just a shameless attempt to sell more tee shirts. The MU athletic administration should be ashamed and held responsible if they treat hard working, passionate, loyal employees with such disregard. We’re watching Mizzou...your decision will have ramifications for years to come!

this is flat out wrong. Suzy has brought this program to the forefront. She genuinely cares about the students she works with and all the athletes with whom she comes in contact
