Our dog almost had a heart attack If I was abusing our dog I would get in trouble. Isn't this a form of animal torture. They started here at 7 and. Was still going after midnight.

Please regulate the time and usage of residential fireworks. My dog spent from 5pm onward in the closet on New Years Eve. Working with kids who have sensory issues, I know many of them are affected by this as well. I enjoy fireworks as much as the next person, but I fully agree that it is getting out of control and regulations need to be implemented!

My fur baby has anxiety and when it's fireworks time, she's beside herself for almost 2 full days . Afraid to go outside to do her chores. I'm sick of all the fireworks that go on throughout new years eve and the days after.

Please limit the use of fireworks during the holidays! It really isn't fair to our pets!

I just wish there were set times, ie between 8 &9 for younger kids/families and then 11:30 to 12:30.

This should also include towns within the greater St.John's area for those whose properties are on the city borders.

This shouldn't be allowed around residential areas what so ever. These can be very dangerous and cause fires if not used properly.

Yes, something has to be done. I have two yorkies, my sister's all have dogs & they are terrified during fireworks.

I hear fireworks frequently in my neighbor hood no what time of year or day. It frightens me and my animals. They sound very much like gun fire and it's so distressing. Please regulate their use.

Perhaps we need to review current practices.

I would love to see a ban on the use of fireworks or even if it there was a restricted time (from 12-12:30). The fireworks started by my house 7:40pm and ended around 12:30-1:00 am a bit much I think. It's.

My dog always had a fear of firework sounds. As she has gotten older it takes her days to get over it. Shaking, panting, running, hiding. A timeframe should be informed

I live in St. john's east and have been outside several times, not to view the fireworks, but to make sure no sparks landed on my roof. They are being used by too many people in residential areas, too close to houses. I agree that our pets suffer from this overuse of fireworks, but I am also concerned that it's a tragedy waiting to happen. I would endorse a total ban on fireworks anywhere near residential areas.
