Disappointed in the lack of public consultation on this matter.

We have to get away from the noise with our dogs. They are so afraid we take them in the car and try drive away from the bangs. The noise is all around us every occasion is an excuse for fireworks and it goes on for over an hour or more!

I feel they should be regulated because they are very dangerous when people don't know what they are doing!! I heard many stories of near misses because their fireworks tipped over shooting everywhere, only luck that they never hit anyone!! Luck do run out!!

I totally agree with this. Animals get so scared of the noise. It stresses them out

Restrictions should be made but people have a responsibility to make shore their animals are in a safe place on these occasions. Sending love to all pets and their owners.

Residential fireworks are just not excepted.
A Fire Works display at midnight on New Years Eve, that is controlled for all residence is how it used to be done.
Time to control :/ stop those residential drunken fools from disturbing people.

The regulations are outdated and need to be amended to ban residential fireworks within 300 m of a residence at minimum. These are a nuisance and unsafe.

My parents were caring for my dog last Christmas while I was on vacation. Someone set fireworks off at 4:00 in the day - my dog took off from my mom. She got into a culvert and my parents spent 16 hours searching for her, and upon finding her, another 5 hours trying to get her out. Fireworks are incredibly stressful for pets and pet owners. If their use cannot be banned, I would like to see limitations on when and where they can be used so pet owners know when they can and can't walk their pets safely.

Should be extended to other towns as well, here in central they happened every night from the 23 to the second.

It would be helpful if all towns in the greater St.John's area could limit fireworks to Canada Day and New Years Eve and then limit them to between 8:00-8:30 and 12:00-12:30 am.
I would also like to encourage residents to return to gathering for the city fireworks vs everyone having their own. This year there were 6 houses in close proximity to mine that set off fireworks. I felt like I was in a war zone in my own house. I thought my dog was going to have a heart attack. I can not imagine how all of the refugees who now live here felt. I am sure it was upsetting to them.
