Private road should not allow STR's.. One is on our street, and persons never asked any residents before doing this...Many feel it is an invasion of privacy which has always been the feeling of this 14 home community, not formally called HOA, but mutual cooperation has always been respected until now.

Get these GD rentals out of Malibu. Our life has been HELL since our neighbor moved to hawaii and turned her house into an unsupervised ABB.

Short Term Rentals in residential neighborhoods are illegal hotels. They displace locals who need a home to rent. Please outlaw them in residential neighborhoods. They destroy our neighborhoods and schools.

I respect property owners rights and ability to generate income from property but it is an issue requiring tighter regulation to avoid party houses.

I agree, this should be modeled on the Santa Monica ordinance which recently survived a court battle. It is rationale, legal and court tested.

I may not get to stay in Malibu after the fire. I hope this will help us renters to find permanent housing.

The use of airBnB is being grossly abused by many "landlords" who rent to unsupervised and improperly screened visitors which have little or no regard for the surrounding residential neighborhoods. There is a big difference between homeowners who rent an occasional room to those who have created "party" houses. We need reasonable regulation.

STR's run contrary to our city's mission statement. Can we please have a little respect for our neighborhoods?

STRs would be an unqualified disaster, a shattering of our way of life.

We live in El Nido up Corral Canyon so not exactly in city but I think the proposal is a good idea. STR in permanent residence only. It's the only way to control the activity along with enforcement when needed. I hope LA County does something similar.

No non-owner occupied STR's--especially in SFR's. No STR's in established wildfire zones. Enforce maximum occupancy regulations. Home previously occupied by families with children (4-6ppl) are advertised with "accommodates 10-14".

Enforcement vital. Many AirBnB without registering. Onsite owners for current users a MUST.

The hotel at 2145 Rambla Pacifico is not inhabited by the owners. The noisey parties go on until 2-3AM. We have called the Sheriffs multiple times.
