Register your support to preserve Speedway in Peterborough

With all the increasing interest in mental health issues, people need leisure facilities and those which are varied, not just all-weather football fields. Peterborough Speedway enjoys wide support across Europe and peoples' needs and objections should take precedence over money grabbing developers with no real interest in the wellbeing of the location.

I starte watching and supporting Peterborough Panthers with my father from the early 1970's and have been following them eversince. Everything possible should be done to preserve speedway at the East of England Showground!

We cannot afford to lose any more speedway tracks

It’s a scandal that this sport can be just wiped from Peterborough by a developer!

Speedway must remain in peterbrough

Save the showground

Speedway needs saving in our city

we need speedway

I fully support the retention of speedway at the eoas and believe that throwing away a leisure experience that has benefited generations of people to be a serious error of judgment

Bring our speedway back

A massive team in speedway steeped in History they must be saved in some way please

Important that a successful club and big part of the community is not allowed to be pushed out for housing development - there should be room for both.

Although I have never been to the Showground I attended Speedway for many years,it's a fantastic sport very family friendly. It would be terrible if Speedway was lost to Peterborough

Reasons we support this petition to keep Peterborough Speedway 1. LP30 says it all !!!!!!! PDCC 2. Loyalty 3. Locals, we care about our communities 4. History over 50 years of it !!!!!!!! 5. Need for Green space, what we don’t need is more being taken away from us

Good Luck

A place where families have enjoyed speedway for many years. A true family sport. Along with above other functions have been taken away ie truck fest. No consideration on those that want to build, on the impact on local business or the current residents on how busy the roads and infrastructure will be affected.

Been going to the showground since the 70s as a supporter and to help out as track staff this is a brilliant venue for speedway and it's a crying shame that it's being bulldozed for even more housing, this is a popular entertainment venue these sort of developments need to stop before all sporting venues are lost due to greed of landlords and land owners.

Sport has been on site since 1970. Speculative changes proposed. And of course Housing which can be built anywhere. Why keep removing facilities

Put long term quality of life for Thousands before short term profit for a select few.

Peterborough Speedway was probably the best Speedway track in the country if not the world. As a fan for over 50 years the amount of great entertainment that has been had for my family and friends in that time is fantastic. It will be a great travesty if this absolutely brilliant family sport is taken away from the people of Peterborough.
