What is the good of all those houses if you have nothing to do. Better to keep the Speedway a vital part of Peterborough for many years. We do not want another “concrete jungle”

Every sport needs a home, to many are being lost to housing. Without offering a replacement. People need something to enjoy, support and take part in.
Losing Peterborough speedway is unfair.
Why can't space be left to keep the racetrack within the new build.
Coventry, Peterborough, Swindon, Wolverhampton, Thurrock, should all be allowed to survive. Too many speedway tracks have already been lost to unsympathetic developers. Stop this now.

Sporting venues throughout the U.K. should be retained for the enjoyment of current and future generations, especially Speedway. They should not be devoured by avaricious individual and business land and building speculators.

Sports and green space are as vital as houses. Where will nature and water go if this site is covered in tarmac and houses?

I support speedway at the showground and oppose the development of the showground. Especially as it's in the local plan that stayed sports and leisure in place must be preserved

This amenity should be preserved for the enrichment of activities available to both local people and nationwide.
A new shopping centre and small scale sports facility is no replacement for a space that has hosted national shows and exhibitions and a Championship winning Speedway team for 53 years. Large tracts of showground land have already been used for housing. Local infrastructure does not support an additional 1500 homes to replace a nationlly known venue.

After many years as a sporting, leisure and social apex for the Peterborough community and surrounding areas, I consider the proposed redevelopment of the East of England Showground to be immoral and purely about making money for the greedy few who selfishly pursue their financially driven agendas.

An alternative site including the relevant facilities enjoyed at the show ground must be provided before eviction is implemented
