Desperately overdue, give us a park we can really use, that is beautiful, fun, safe and pleasant to be in.

I remember as a child . Watching the cricket. Where you could get a cup of tea and cake from the little pavilion. In those days they had a groundsman who looked after the park.

I live in Merstham and although my kids are grown I like to push my mum round the park in a wheelchair! The area could do with some tlc and the equipment in the playground needs an update.

Despite the area being regenerated and new homes being built in the area, this park is a very inadequate and uninspiring space for children in the area.

We live behind the current park and have a toddler. The park is barely ok and we spend little time in it. A new safe park would be fabulous and would definitely encourage others to the area. I say this because we generally go elsewhere to use other parks. We've also seen many unsavoury characters drinking alcohol in the vicinity of the park and drug dealers. It's not an ideal public area for children.
The small parade of shops in Merstham could do with a helping hand in bringing people to them. A regenerated park could help.

Yes I agree the park needs upgrading with notices for dog owners to clear up mess left behind( doggie bins). We have them in watercolour where I live.
