Regenerate our park!

It's a great area with bags of potential. Regeneration is greatly need though and would be appreciated by all family's using the facilities.

Brought up in Merstham, no longer live there, but my young grandchildren do. This area has improved vastly since I was a child and now that Portland Drive is being invested in (long overdue) it would be nice for the park to be considered too.

I've met so many people in the community at this park. Make it better and more people will do the same, creating a stronger community and a better neigbourhood.

I live right opposite the park but rarely use it as the earth is so un even & mucky, when it's wet weather it's a nightmare. The playground layout really isn't very thought out & not very relaxing for the parents if you have children at different ages. I have a nearly 2 year old, 4 & nearly 8, all boys! So I do worry if my older 2 are playing footie out on the grass, & I'm in the playground area with my youngest. Toilets would be amazing to, maybe even a little cafe, ooh & definitely a few more benches dotted around for when parents are watching footie matches. Also the servicing in the tennis courts & basketball area is really not very safe & has lots of loose little stones, so when they fall on the service it can be quite dangerous. Think I've had to take a piece of stone out my sons knee on a few occasions. Be great if you could make our park safer & more appealing.

Merstham Rec park is in desperate need of a revamp! With more and more young families moving here (lots of homes have been built and more being built and planned) - Redhill Town have regenerated their park and Reigate are planning another one - Merstham needs not to be left out, as when it comes to inspiring our little people, playing outside is of major importance!

We really need some new equipment - how about something featuring sand, kids love sand!

Badly in need of an upgrade for the local children.

Would love to see the park get a makeover and some improvements made to the football pitches.

We need a clean, safe and interesting place for our young people

Please put Merstham parks first. Why should we play second fiddle to Redhill and Reigate?

£5m at least already spent regenerating the Priory Park. Merstham Recreation is in dyer need of regeneration, more houses are being built in the local area therefore more families with children. Reigate and Banstead council should be encouraging the local people and families of Merstham to spend more time in leisure activities by modernising the current inadequate poor leisure facilities, not spend more on the Priory Park which has excellent leisure facilities for young families with children!

Our Merstham Park equipment is old and needs revitalising!

I have lived here for 31 years and in all that time only once has the play park been upgraded. Please do something good for the children of Merstham.

I agree, the park is a great asset, but needs to be improved. A small coffee hut like they have at Tattenham corner would be great

A watering hole for the dogs would be good.

Maybe a little 5 a side astroturf or something to help kids get involved in sports.
