there is no doubt that our professors are trying their best as well to make this online education thing work. however, we aren’t using the facilities, labs and a few other things.

Although we’re still learning, thus we are not using the stuff we paid for such as, computers, scanners, printing lab, working areas, all kinds of labs and much more. We pay you 100000 dhs for all the facilities and we have the right to get some of our money back if we don’t get to use them anymore.

We all understand that the current circumstances are hard and had a huge impact on AUS, but i feel like we are now paying for things we’re not using or not a part of and this includes : activities fee, lab fees, dorm fees and so on. If at least they could refund some of this money it would only sound fair.

With the dorms being shut and classes being virtual, we’re not utilising all the facilities that we paid for. Hence it only makes sense to approve a refund.

While we can all understand that the university had no control of what has occurred, it’s not that this is designed to suffocate them of funds, but rather it’s what’s fair, all of us signed off on the syllabi we were given at the start of semester and saying it satisfies our expectation or even the professors’ expectations is far from reality. I hope management understand our views on the matter.
