Living in Budapest at the moment, where refugees are not welcome. I hope that the Isle of Man can show more compassion to those who have lost everything.

These poor souls have lost everything and are left in limbo, unwanted by anyone and often unable to return to the land of their birth because of war (in many cases war started by the west). If we have any humanity left let the Isle of Man give shelter to some of these people.

In the past year I have helped the refugees in Hungary and France. They were all lovely people and so thankful for the help. Many were well qualified, they just wanted somewhere safe to live and work.

Even 25 by 2020 is pathetic. Lots of internees were accommodated in WW2. The buildings couldn't be commandeered in the same way but what about using some empty hotels, e.g.Castle Mona?

I urge the IOM government to show some humanity and take notice of this petition. 25 by 2020 really is the minimum we should be doing.

There needs to be more even dispersal of Syrain refugees throughout the UK. They can't all go to Gateshead.

These are real people real families. In past year I have helped the refugees in Hegyeshalom Hungary and in Calais and Dunkirk. Many were highly skilled and we'll educated. They could be an asset to the island.

There should be no question or debate about this, as IOM is renown for enormous charitable capabilities..........and this is for a dreadful situation which doesn't bear thinking about

We are so lucky here on the IOM, Surely we can help 25 people over the next few years escape the nightmare situation they find themselves in through no fault of their own?
