These policies should be revisited and if possible corrected because it's not fair at all. I am refugee. I have completed a BSc and BSc (Hons.) in a recognized public South African University but I've never got the opportunity to do an internship. Therefore, I've never worked since I completed my Honours degree in 2014. My papers are not allowing me to go out of South Africa at the moment since it is very difficult to get a travel document. I am like in prison where no matter my academic achievement I cannot work to better my life.

As much as I have a job, I believe the employment equity has hold me hostage and I find it very difficult to find another job or work for some other departments.

I believe that South Africa will overlook this policy, otherwise there is not point to exclude Refugees in developing RSA.They have already contributed in our country, some have South Degrees in different faculties engineering ,health Sciences and economic due to their paper not work for time.Shame to Africain.

If the givernment is unable to help students, the least you can do is to facilitate their survival system.

South Africa is the most modern country in Africa and must think forward and see benefit in all kind of immigrants including asylum seekers and refugees. Although most asylum seekers arrive in the country with not much to show financially, after settling in, they do strive to succeed in their own lives, while contributing to their adoptive country in many ways, and should be regarded as assets to the country and be treated as such. More modern countries in the west know that and they too take advantage of that, by opening their doors to the asylum seekers and refugees who have skills, especially the ones educated in the adoptive country and also by making it easy from moving from refugees to permanent residents within a year or two and citizenship as well within 3 to 5 years. This process is in place because they recognize the value and contribution that asylum seekers and refugees have, just as other immigrants. Please South Africa, make it happen. Make South Africa, a true rainbow nation, where everyone feels home.

South Africa should support first Africans before looking outside the continent.

What is being done is completely unfair, a whole blend of existing injustices on refugees! Spending a lot on education and never benefit out of it. Things must change!
