In order to clean up our neighborhoods and prevent further decline, minor crimes like public intoxication, loitering, panhandling, littering must be enforced with arrest and prosecution.

Go after people who posses, distribute and use heroin and meth. Lock them up with long sentences and the crime will drop! Our city officials have more fear of being accused of bias than subjecting us to violence and crime. Disgraceful and disgusting!

Police officers need to walk the streets, not patrol around in their cars. Repeat offenders need to be locked up - 3 strikes and your out. The mayor needs to send clear message that she has the PDs back. I grew up in this city and I want it back.

As someone who works in downtown Seattle but lives elsewhere in King County, I am likely to leave the city for an employer in a jurisdiction where criminals are prosecuted and violence is taken seriously. It is shocking to me how little has changed in the 28 years since I attended Seattle University in areas where crime is obviously known and offenders are easily identified.

I've lived in Seattle for about 22 years and have seen this type of tragedy over and over again. The City's bandied approach does not work. I will be shocked if anything actually changes for the long haul.

I’m in the process of moving out of this city which was my home the past 45 years. It is no longer pleasant or worth supporting with my taxes.

As a senior, I'm afraid to go downtown. I've been screamed at, called a white bitch, panhandled, and a senior woman standing by me was called a KKKmember whe she waved goodbye to a friend. I've lived in Seattle for 60+ years. The inmates have taken over the asylum. Yes, enough is enough.

Start prosecuting the violent criminals. Get to work Pete Holmes! Not everyone is a good candidate for diversion activities. Some need hard time and will not stop their activities unless we incarcerate them.
