We need to stop 'catch and release' as it is not working. Every neighborhood in Seattle needs to feel safe.

We can no longer have two sets of laws - open drug deals, ticketing cars with current tabs but ignoring those without. Allowing drug and alcohol use on the streets and no prosecution for arrests allowing for repeat offenders.

Stop catering to the criminals! Start enforcing the laws and hold people accountable! Seattle is dying from the lack of leadership and the inability to do what is needed!

Why is someone with 40+convictions walking around downtown Seattle with a gun? I'm talking to you, Pete Holmes, Jenny Durkan and City Council!

Simply, laws should be enforced, otherwise, repeal the laws. Please hire and support more police officers to reduce theft, prostitution and illegal drug sales and consumption to keep our children safe.

I do not want to see the wholesale violation of civil liberties. but do suggest the public's civil liberties are being violated by these miscreants. Sadly, it's time to bring the hammer down .

We need to fix this system ASAP before more people get hurt and our wonderful city becomes where people don't want to live and no one wants to visit..

I'm in North Beacon Hill. My neighbor was robbed at gunpoint at her home by a person who is homeless living near the dearborn and 12th and Weller shelter. These people need to not be able to continually harm the public, including tax paying home owners, businesses and all the people in Seattle.

Wake up Seattle! Our leaders need to follow the city charter which says public safety is the number one priority of city government.

We just moved here after living in NYC for 25 years. Seattle is dysfunctional and incompetent when it comes to public safety, police able to do their job enforcing the law and your laws protecting and cuddling addicts, dealers and criminals are disturbing. The revolving door of letting criminals and mentally ill who assault neighbors back into the streets to bring public more harm and terrorize our neighborhoods is appalling and dangerous. Our taxes pay your salaries as public servants and you are not representing us or protecting our families from harm. You are waiting for a huge publicity scandal and getting sued by somebody who gets really hurt due to your negligence. Fix your city, it’s expensive and it is not safe. We felt safer living in NYC than living here.
