Referendum To Maintain Original End Of Fall 2016 Quarter

Please change the dates to make up lost time. People have made both talent and job arrangements that cannot be changed.

The cost of our daughters ticket was over $600 last month to come home. Can't wait to see the cost to change to come home from break. Plus the cost of the thanksgiving ticket. Not to mention the ticket we bought for her to come home this past week. Why not have classes on Fridays to make up for the 6 days missed ?

This plan will cost my parents $7000 in flight cancelation and changes. PLEASE change!

Make Fridays and Saturdays make up days.

I already purchased my daughter return ticket in the summer. Also we have a family trip on 11/25/16 that would cost thousands of dollars to change. This was all booked over the summer. Plus the college is putting more stress on the kids not sure if they can even come home for thanksgiving because they will have to prepare for finals the next week.

Kind of hard to attend class during break when I have already paid for multiple out of country plane tickets.

This has no thought for international students. We go out of the country to visit our family once a year. Tickets are almost always non refundable. They have to work with students individually. Extend for those who can stay and allow students who can't stay to do it remotely. They should give extension to submit the assignments but attendance shoudn't be mandatory for those who can't afford to stay. They can leave is as an open option. The campus can remain open for those who can saty back, but for those who have already booked flights to go back and can't afford to reschedule or cancel they should make it online submission. It has already been a financial burden on students due to evacuation and cancelling tickets worth thousands of dollars can't be taken lightly.

If this schedule goes through not only will I miss thanksgiving with my family but it will put incredible financial strain on my mother to reschedule flights with the cancelation fee and scheduling the new flight home the week after thanksgiving which is the most expensive week to fly. Please reconsider this plan and think about possibly adding Friday classes and online classes if needed.

I have an internship that's supposed to begin when the quarter ends. I don't want to ask for a week of vacation before my first day of work. That's crazy.

This is ridiculous and I refuse to waste money flying all the way back home during the busiest time of year just to come right back for 4 days

Have flights scheduled to St Kitts week before thanksgiving! Non refundable and expensive!!

Would it be possible for students to finish classes/take finals so we could leave on the original date? Sticking with the new plan SCAD has created will force me to pay more than $1,000 to fly to and from Savannah and change my pre-existing flights. Many students (including myself) understand that SCAD is having to face a situation they haven't dealt with in many years. We just want a plan that works ideally for all.

This new schedual is unacccepatble and un fair for stufents. We have fridays as make up classes for a reason. Use them. That way we dont have to go over so much.

I understand SCAD's decision. Our school actually did a pretty good job during the evacuation time! But I really hope we can end up the quarter on time. I have already booked the fight back to China two months ago, and it may take over 500 dollars to change my fight time, it's too expensive for me to afford. Also I have already scheduled a surgery in China, the refection takes at least one month. There for I really hope we can end our quarter on time.

Dont do it

Due to the new schedule I will not even be able to go home for thanks giving. I would rather have classes every Friday for the rest of the semester than this or anything at this point.

To whom it may concern: Please consider that a big mayority of your students are international and almost all of them had already purchase airfare tickets to fly back home. I will appreciate if you can extend classes at the end of SCAD year calendar next June 2017 so students and international families can organize with enough time. This event had already had create an extra cost to us all in order to pay for hotels transportation meals plus the stress of not knowing what was going to happen . It is important as a community to help whoever got affected by the hurricane and also to be sensitive about foreign students that have to make a huge effort to work and be able to pay for their expenses. I don't think two extra weeks is necessary. We could actually use our Friday make up days and have week 9 go from monday to Friday and then end week 10 with a week from Monday to Wednesday and be out right before thanksgiving.
