I should be able to be with my family on thanksgiving

I'm enrolled in one class; the last class I need to get my BFA. The back and forth traveling and lodging would be costly and ridiculous for any student but especially considering my situation. SCAD has always been wonderful and I trust they will reconsider this hasty decision.

Would love if they considered making the last 4 days e-learning classes since they have a wonderful e-learning program already.

I believe there should be better class-schedule solution considering both professors and the students. Without having any make-up class and merely extending class-schedule is not best solution for all.

students should be able to make up days on Sat etc so not to disrupt the normal schedule as people already. Have airline tickets etc.

Some people have non negotiable prepaid plans for the holidays, to be forced to cancel those plans would result in large sums of money lost. Not only that but as for the international students who've already booked flights home right after school now have to purchase flights back to Savannah and then home again with this short notice, again resulting in the spending of large sums of money that for most do not have. There can definitely be ways around this, with the suggestion of Friday and weekend classes or lengthening classes on weekdays. As for the people who say that families can just fly or travel to Savannah for Thanksgiving don't understand that if students can't spend all the money and airfare/bus fare to travel then their parents most likely cannot due the same. Personally I think this is a bad idea and it's a major inconvenience to many students.

Savannah State and Armstrong were open this week... not entirely sure why y'all decided to remain closed because of a few blown over trees..

CONSIDERATION ON INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS, WE DON'T NEED ALTERNATIVE THANKSGIVING DINNER WE NEED THE FLIGHTS AND BREAK.

As a parent of a freshman student, I believe SCAD should listen to the thousands of voices -the customers! We cannot absorb the extreme costs of travel rescheduling, premium travel dates and a return trip just for 3 days. Unacceptable!

I don't want the class schedule delay. I don't want to spend too much money to buy or change my flight. Thank you very much! Shang Wang

I booked a return ticket on Nov 21st. The company said I need to pay $881 for the price different...that will be the more expensive than one ticket!

My flight is on November 28th, if I cancel the flight, I'll be charged for $215 change fee.

Make up classes on fridays!

I am signing the petition to keep the original SCAD Fall Semester schedule. If days need to be added, please do so within the current semester timeframe. Adding additional days to the semester after the Thanksgiving holiday will cause tremendous schedule and financial hardships for those students and their families who are remote from Savannah.

I have to change two flight tickets, one back to NYC, another to China, total costs more than $500 dollars if I follow the extended semester dates which is unfair to us SCAD students. I suggest to makeup classes on Fridays or Sundays so it won't affect student's travel. Also, worrying about finals right after thanksgiving has lost the holidays real meaning and purpose.
