Referendum To Maintain Original End Of Fall 2016 Quarter

This is a very big hassle for the international student like myself who would cost a fortune to change the plane tickets when i shouldn't need to.

Strongly agree and support this petition.

Yeaaaaaah, this is a LOT more travel money than I anticipated and would love to not have to spend it

For each comment that has been made on this petition, and for all the obvious reasons and then some, this schedule change will create hardship and hysteria to an already unfortunate turn of events. This was a very trying and scary time for students and their families. A better plan must be implemented to make up the time. Life happens and students are tied up with airfare, jobs, and their personal lives.

Students, who come from all over the country and globe, have already made plans to be home for the holidays. To except these students to miss the holiday with their families, or to expect them to go home for a few days and then come back for a few days before going home for winter break in a ridiculous request. That's an expense that isn't necessary. No other school makes students make up days when weather is a factor for students. You just adjust accordingly.

This new schedule is not good

I won't be able to see my family after not seeing them in 6 mouths

The new makeup schedule simply will not work for our SCAD student and our family. First, we live 700 miles north of Savannah. Second, we already have vacation plans in place for the week after Thanksgiving. Please use Friday's for class makeup days.

I have already bought my airline tickets, cat't no be late...

I understand it's hard for school to make this decision. But I have booked my flight ticket for the date on November 20 to back to China! And my opinion is that we can get some additional lesson on Friday instead of extending. Thank you

I think this is ridiculous, people should not have to spend thousands of dollars for travel plans not everyone has the kind of money.

I have already bought my ticket to china, and we also have a plan to Japan. And the tickets are nonreturnable and can not be changed, The tickets equal 2500 dollars.

Why not weekends??

Make up classes on fridays and saturdays if necessary

This is ridiculous, and really upsetting. There are some things that schools should be held accountable for, and sticking to calendar dates are one of them. Students have plans, bought tickets, jobs, family, friends and trips to go home to.

I'm willing to go to classes on Fridays, but I cannot change my travel plans for winter break.

A hurricane ruins all plans... including SCAD's. Do the right thing and help your students realistically.

If scad Atlanta gets a normal break, we should get a normal break. This is ridiculous and a hurricane is not our fault we should not be punished for it.
