Refer Canal & River Trust to govt for failures to maintain uk inland waterways

Too many cases of reactive emergency repairs, which are disruptive and make maintenance more expensive in the long term. Proactive preventive maintenance is much more effective, even on those seemingly small repairs, which will become big expensive jobs if neglected!

absolute joke and no excuse. They didnt have the seasonals back on the Weaver and other areas then use permanent staff to do locks and the upkeep previously done by seasonals.

For taking far to long in letting us know whats going on.

The canal is filling up, our boats regularly sit on the bottom , while I see them promoting cycling on the towpath which costs money, boater should come first, we are the ones that pay towards the upkeep of the canal, not cyclist, and before anyone says, I'm a keen cyclist, it's an historic moment.

Over the last few years I have seen the waterways fall into disrepair, and certain rivers are now almost impassable due to sand bars, fallen trees etc. The lack of investment is evident everywhere you go, despite fees for boaters increasing well above the RPI. There is no leadership, forward thinking or any plan evident to reverse this sorrowful situation. Then you find the CRT spends thousands in getting a new logo designed and all the branding changed at great expense to reflect this. Totally mismanaged and a total waste of fee payers money. Scrap the whole board and start again a total disgrace

They sold off all of BWB assets and have failed to provide the service which they are obliged to under Statute. Not fit for purpose.

The number of water points in London needs to be increased. There are so many places where more mooring points could be installed - Hagerston for example.

CRT completely lack any direction and waste resources firefighting.

The neglect and lack of timely maintenance including upkeep of sanitary facilities and rubbish removal is making the entire system difficult to use; things have got noticeably worse in the last 5 years I don't consider the licence fee value for money any more CRT does not do the job

I think the men who are in charge don't understand the way things happen not like Years ago they had to come up through the ranks not come from college

This is my third year of cruising and I’ve noticed a steady decline in facilities and maintenance.

The unfairness of licence fee for wide beams. Boats that never leave the marina yet still pay for a licence. The poor condition of the services or lack of services on rivers ie mooring available especially on the trent lack of dredging .

Not fit for purpose

I think that the price we are having to pay for river licence, when the rivers aren't navigable is out of order.
