the bid for moorings situation is a disgrace , pricing the ordinary working people out of the race , CRT is supposed to be a peoples organisation when in fact they are just out to squeeze as much as possible out of boaters , I am a volunteer who has now packed in after seeing the new fresh from University management in action , they are completely use less and know bugger all about the water ways , they have got rid off most of the old staff and replaced them with amateurs who then just run around checking on the volunteers who are the ones doing the actual work . I have worked and lived on the waterways so know when things are not right and I have now seen it first hand as a ex volunteer .

the bidding rule on moorings is disgusting pricing the traditional boater out of ever being able to afford a Bwb mooring . so pleasure boating has become a rich persons hobby , CRC are supposed to be charitable trust which is a load of rubbish when the majority of the boating family is priced out , I am a volunteer and have seen the management in action , kids straight out of University with no idea what so ever on how the waterways work .

Another tragedy to the current state of our waterways is the disrespect for all those volunteers who worked to reopen miles of abandoned navigation for free. Only for our current overpaid bunglers to let it all drop back into disrepair along with miles and miles of other navigation. They should be sacked, the skill sets, the tools and the equipment they discarded at the onset was an early warning of just what was to come, worse still on its way. Action needed now before it’s too late, if it’s not that already.

Have only seen Cassio Bridge lock on the zGu, it's a disgrace! Also, loosing all maintenance staff from Apsley Section ditto. Such a waste of skilled labour which took decades to train.
