We, the residents of Midland Point Road, do hereby petition the City of
Midland to reduce the existing speed limit of fifty (50) kilometers per hour to forty (40)
kilometers per hour from Fuller Avenue up to and including 764 Midland Point Road. Petition includes the signatures of the residents who reside on the section of road in question.
Totally agree. It can be dangerous trying to get out of Portage Park Lane especially with the hill on your right hand side as you enter Midland Point Road. Cars come flying over the hill and are on you before you know it.

Great idea for safety.
When it is at 50 you drive at 60.
Now at 40 it would be much safer for walkers along side of road.
Thanks

Our family has been living on Midland Point Road since the early 70’s and have seen so much speeding and have witnessed several accidents. This neighborhood changing, with more and more young families. It will be one hurdle to lower the speed limit and another to enforce it.
With the absence of any sidewalks also, this adds to the potential danger of someone getting seriously hurt.

This has been an ongoing concern for approximately 50 years that we have lived in Protage Park. I strongly suggest that we lobby the Town of Midland to install a bike/pedestrian lane from the entrance to Glenbrook Gardens to Fuller Ave. It's a matter of public safety and the Liability implications to the Town of Midland could be horrendous.
