Reduce the speed limit in Trull

As a frequent walker and cyclist along these roads I strongly support this proposal

This needs to be done before someone gets hurt, there are no pavements or crossings around the school so a 20mph limit should be a must. In my opinion there should also be a crossing by the shop and near Amberd Lane as lot's of children cross there to get the bus to Castle.

My son cycles to and from school and is intimidated by the speeding and sometimes aggressive drivers just outside the school gates.

It has become increasingly evident that slowing the traffic down in this area is essential in order to reduce the danger for both parents and children as well as pedestrians walking along this road, particularly at busy times

I strongly support this petition. If evidence shows that 20 mph can improve safety for all, SCC Highways need to be willing to engage with residents on this issue constructively and reach a solution. As a previous resident of Church Road and now having a child who walks to school along Wild Oak Lane, I can testify to the almost constant 'near miss' feeling (and in some instances, reality), which reducing the speed limits could mitigate. Actually joining this up with some cycle path planning would provide Trull residents with more sustainable travel options. Let's get on with it.

I find it a hazard when meeting Grandchildren from School and other times as well in general. Cars parked in the vicinity cause extra risk when crossing the road.

I strongly support the case for the present 20mph limit at the North end of Wild Oak Lane to be extended to thr T junction opposite Trull School, and thence in both directions along Church Road. Even outside of school delivery/collection times there is a busy pedestrian traffic on both roads which currently is ignored by many motorists;even 30mph is exceed even in those conditions.

I fully support a 20mph speed limit along these roads. A one way system is a good idea too. It's mayhem in the mornings!

Please reduce the speed limit in Trull. Lots of young children walking to and from school with people driving too fast. Maybe a one way road for wild oak lane- so congested this morning with folk getting stuck etc!

I have left on the corner of wild Oak Lane and Ladylawn for 27 years. There have been a number of accidents On the bend this road predominantly due to speeding drivers Cause maybe repaired it is much more difficult to repair people. Please listen to the people who sign this petition Because we are trying to prevent avoidable injuries and slower car speeds are better for the environment. I absolutely agree with this, I have been shocked by how fast some cars come speeding through Trull. The safety of the children comes first and with a lack of pavement and safe areas to cross, children and their families are forced to be even more vigilant with higher risk than they should have to be.

Agree to the petition. Please consider decreasing the limit to the suggested 20 mph; it seems especially sensible given the limited pavement and crossings surrounding the school.

I totally support this petition and also believe that a zebra cross or a controlled traffic light near the Post Office at Trull Road, close to Church Road is essential to be installed.
