Reduce the speed limit in Trull

Wholeheartedly support this campaign. Couple of thoughts: The 20 limit will get some drivers to slow down a bit, but if the limit by Queens college is anything to go by I suspect a majority will ignore a revised limit unless there’s some enforcement. It would be great if the Council Highways dept would think bigger than this and protect vulnerable road users in the village with footways on the approaches to the school. While they’re at it they could connect Trull and Taunton with a proper segregated cycle way, perhaps by turning Wild Oak way into a quiet-way.

The safety of our children must be paramount. Please help us to keep them as safe as possible by making the speed limit 20mph .

A zebra crossing would be useful as well near the school

I do not understand the Council's reluctance to impose a 20mph speed limit. How many children need to be killed or injured before they react?

This is a necessary move to change the way drivers drive around Trull school. More caution is needed abd the speed change should most definitely be lowered.

I think this is an excellent idea.

Planning departments and councils all over the UK need to sort this out. It is totally unacceptable not to have paths through villages and towns connecting services or at the very least 20mph speed limits.

The speed at which vehicles whizz through the village is astonishing and certainly should be curbed on such narrow roads, especially where there are no pavements.

The road is far to dangerous for a 30 mph speed limit.

I don't live in Trull anymore, however, for the safety of our children, this should be a 20 m/h zone. My daughter nearly lost her foot once be a large vehicle being in too much of a hurry when she was on her way home from school.

I fully agree with a speed limit of 20 mph, the traffic drives through the village far too fast, there are no pavements for children and adults too walk on and a few nasty corners.

Totally agree we need to reduce the speed to 20 , narrow lanes, sharp corners, children walking and cycling , it can be very dangerous

I absolutely agree that reducing the speed limit is a necessity and also feel that pedestrian crossings should be put in on Honiton road to enable safe crossing of school children.

Traffic definitely needs to be slowed down

Used as a rat run by commuting cars where young families have no safety as no pavements - the speed limit must be reduced to prevent a tragic accident from happening.
