The cost of living in Wayland has just risen by far too much. With an enrollment drop you should be able to cut somewhere.

It should be common sense to reduce athe school budget according to the reduced enrollment?? Do they know the meaning of budget? Living within your means!

Quality education and sound fiscal management are not mutually exclusive. It is time for the School Committee to demonstrate the budgeting skills that reflect a smaller, but effective budget.

I am retiring and I cannot afford these large annual increases in spending.

We need to reduce Wayland's spending habits. It is NOT just "all about da schools" (to paraphrase M. Trainor a bit).

Fiscal Accountability is a good lesson for the School Committee to model and teach its students. With reduced student enrollments over past decade, it is more than time to stop the increases and look for ways to live within reduced (or level) funding budgets.

I do not think the school committee needs an increase in their budget

Why bother with 3 budgets when all have the same increase? Learn to live within your means which means level funding, period.

Please please seek alternatives to increasing this year's school budget. There is a better way to manage expenses.

I sign this not because I'm anti-school. My mother taught school for 38 years so I appreciate how hard teachers work. But we must learn to stay within our means. Wayland's ever increasing taxes are not sustainable. Please endeavor to find a way to level fund the school budget. Thank you.

Not only enrollments decreased but their performance ranking dropped significantly compared to the time my daughter was going to high school in 1990's. Reduce wasteful spending and concentrate on teaching!
