Reduce Paid Parking Price at UOWD

Make paid parking 100dhs per sem

It's our right to have free parking as students or extend the free time period.

it is not fair for the students to pay for the parking, even though we are paying lots of money for the fees of the university and they are not providing a simple facility for us to join the classes peacefully.

please make it free or al least reduce the cost or if it is possible extend the time peiod. thanks.

For what purpose of charging 10dhs every hour? If it’s for getting more slots for students or whoever study here , there is a student card which could help . But apparently it’s more like earning money from students who needs to drive to study and if someone has 3 class plus breaking time or some activities , she or he needs to pay almost 80dhs or even more. Most of students here are without regular and stable income, is it appropriate for making this charge amount ??

With the amount of fee that is being paid, by thousands of students per semester, this is absolutly absurd.

If students want to be attracted to study in university of Wollongong, parking should be the bare minimum that is provided. Students pay the university for an education, the facilities to simply attend university should not be an additional charge of any value let alone a high AED10 per hour which is significantly higher than RTA parking. If the charges cannot be waved, the university should take the cost and not pass it down to students who are not earning an income and not allowed to work with student visas. It is a very unfair deal.

I believe the 2 hour ‘grace period’ is simply a trick to get more students to pay, since most lectures last at least 2 hours, leaving no time to move in and out of the parking, forcing students to pay even if they have only one class

Excessive fees already being paid and still needs to loot money from people to study there peacefully. Please remove this system or else make it free for first 4 hours at least .

We are not happy with this paid parking system. We are already paying too much in terms of the tuition fees and now this

Considering the increasing fuel rates and surrounding parking charges, 10AED per hour is extremely extra! Students couldn’t be charges this much!
