Please sign the petition to help our Board of Education convince administration to reduce the number of students in each class in the current 4th grade for the 2016-2017 school year. Class sizes are at 29 and specials have over 70 kids. The district needs to add a section. Our students and teachers deserve classrooms that can maximize student learning and spend less time on behavior management.

Reaching this level of support makes the long hours spent fighting for these classrooms feel worth it. The struggle is far from over but seeing this momentum gives me the energy to keep pushing the board for change.

While I understand the rational for closing a section in 2012, since that time enrollment has continued to increase. Each year, as more students have been added, classroom management has taken away time from quality instruction. Our teachers do a great job, but their hands are tied. Fifth grade is an important year and adding another section will help decrease management issues and increase our childrens' last chance for more individualized instruction before middle school. We appreciate your time and attention to this matter!
We desperately need a fifth grade class added for 2016-2017 school year. My son has dealt with this overcrowded class. And as new students keep coming in during the school year the classes are getting bigger and bigger.
Do what is right for the children and give me the proper size class and education they deserve
Reducing the class size & making another section for the up in coming 5th graders can only benefit our children.
20 kids per class is optimal. We all want what's best for our children.
Please open another section next year for the current 4th grade students. The 2016/2017 school year is a very important year for them before they make the transition into middle school. The classrooms are overcrowded and it is making it hard on the teachers as well as the students. Thank you.

This is an issue for the past couple of years & we should not continue the ignore the obvious. The class sizes continue to grow & the teachers are expected to carry out the same work load when children grow academically at different speeds! Another section will allow the teachers & students to work together efficiently!
