Don’t take it out on students because you underestimated the cost of the medical school. Get better accountants and financial planners before you decide to make such a huge investment again

This is ridiculous. No reason students paying 40K or more in tuition to get an education and paying to commute and live on campus or off campus, and still charging them 500+ just to have a place to park their car.

This policy is nothing short of absurd, unequivocally. I sincerely hope that it was made out of ignorance/thoughtlessness rather than outright corruption, but never have I seen such a blatant attempt to exploit students, already paying an extraordinary amount on tuition. Those responsible for this shameful policy clearly ought to respond and change course immediately.

This is basically stealing from these students who work so hard to make a good life for themselves. Shame on this University for even think about this. They pay thousands and thousands of dollars to go to school here and to ask for this amount of money on top of what they are spending is ridiculous.

In the two years that I have been a student at Seton Hall, I have come face to face with the profit-driven antics that this school plays time and time again. Athletes are often provided all sorts of luxuries that a wide majority of students are not given. The university spends an exorbitant amount of money on things such as landscaping or a “welcome center”, while parking continuously becomes a larger issue, various departments (most specifically the science and biology departments) suffer from vast-underfunding, many academic buildings on campus suffer from wear-and-tear and lack of disability access, and the housing accommodations remain lackluster and small given the number of students at school. Yet, somehow our tuition is continuously on the rise, students are getting charged nickel and dime everywhere they look, and somehow each year more and more students attend this university. It boggles my mind that we get charged so much, yet I somehow manage to still be amazed when I hear of things such as a $500 parking pass. It is absolutely absurd that students are going to be charged this much to commute between the South Orange campus and a campus that Seton Hall defunded because it found it to be too expensive.
