I am puzzled by our councilor AMY's recent letter to the Transport Department and the ipetition appeal about the ferry subsidy issue. Isn't she playing some tricks with a hidden agenda or simply being ignorant and lazy in reading LegCo papers and various news reports on the issue...??? Amy’s letter has simply demonstrated complete ignorance to the background and fundamental concept to the government’s $190 million special helping measures (subsidy) now offering exclusively for six outlying island routes operated by the NWFF & HKK in their current licence period between 2014 and 2017. Because of directly benefitting under such schemes, NWFF & HKK are now urged by the government to share the windfall profit with passengers through a one-off and time-limited fare concession on a half-half basis. The other eight outlying island ferry routes, such as Aberdeen, Ma Wan, Tuen Mun and Discovery Bay, operated by other seven ferry operators are totally excluded from enjoying this special subsidy! Our councilor should initiate an ipetition asking the government to expand the special helping measures to eight outlying routes, instead of barking up the wrong tree through pursuing the wrong course and appeal with fundamental fallacies which will be easily turned down by the government and expose the ignorance of DBers to the public! Amy should revise the ipetition appeal to: SAY YES TO EQUAL TREATMENT, THE GOVENRMENT SHOULD EXTEND THE SPECIAL HELPING MEASURES TO EIGHT OUTYLING ROUTES!

the price of fuel has gone down. this rise in ticket prices is not justified. plus, HKR is so wealthy it could help struggling residents. would appreciate that. thank you

Reduce the ferry fare!

When oil hit $135 per barrel, as a thinking individual I accepted that fares needed to rise. Now that prices have slumped, and been below $60 per barrel for the past 18 months, I expect government to enforce transparency by reviewing DB ferry accounts and insisting upon realism in public transport pricing.

No more increase for the most expensive ferry in HongKong

Please stop using DB for DBRC's commercial greed. Start thinking about residences as it should be. DB is a residential area, not money making hidious mall.

To whom may Concern According to the oil market it has dropped from $135 to $ 35 baril, therefore there is an agrrement with others Ferry companies in Hong Kong once has already accepted for reducing the price of the ferry fare.
