As parents of District 102 we feel that the testing planned for the 2014-2015 school year is excessive and would like it reduced. There will be approximately 13-16 hours of testing which results in a large amount of lost instructional time. The nearly $90,000 that the district will spend on assessments not required by the state could be used in a variety of ways that would better support the students and teachers of District 102.

$90k?? Think of how many books or art supplies that could buy. Seriously ridiculous.

16 hours is insane. That is two whole days of school gone for nothing. Fix this.

Stop the testing overkill. Teachers know better than the district how to evaluate the students.

My kid comes home crying about these tests. Just let them learn instead of bubbling in sheets all day.

Too much pressure on these kids. Theyre supposed to be having fun and learning not stressed over data points.
