Reduce Bay County Water Rates

I live in the Old Cedar Grove area outside the city limits and my water bill is a burden to pay! Almost $200.00 on my last bill! HELP!!!

Ridiculous rates! Water bill is much more than my electricity bill in June!

These water rates are too high.

We bought a house in Cherokee heights less than a year ago. If I had known any of this was going on or that the rates were going to continuously rise over a deal I had no part or know knowledge of I would have never purchased in this area. Between keeping up with home owner repairs and paying triple sewage than water we are going broke. I feel lied too, took advantage of and more so than anything down right pissed at how this can be allowed to happen. Now we are stuck, because let's face it no one wants to buy in this area because of this....nor could I live with myself to sell and not tell the buyers what they are getting into. If I could turn back time!

Please reduce our water fee. This month we have to pay almost $200, much more than our electricity. I don't understand why we have to pay so much when there is only two people living in this house. And, we are at work all day or out of town. Please put a stop to such unfairness.

Local media praising the Saint Jo deal with Bay and Walton Co. Talking about "Growth", Those homes built there are not for the residents of Bay County. It's for retired Government employees from the large Cities up North. The only industry this will bring is more Lawn care jobs and Restaurant chains that pay minimum wage. Wake up Bay County!

It's seems absolutely illegal to impose such high rates on a select few, the whole reason I choose not to live on the beach was to avoid situations like this. I have gone to the meetings and over again I've seen no help. Hopefully this petition will help us.

Reduce the unfair allocation of fees to the Cherokee Heights residents.

Outrageous charges. Trash pickup is $70 every 3 months as well. The water also leaves also slim and scum in toilet. The people ought to have a choice and not be subject to such outrageous and mandatory charges.

My daughter's bill just went up over $100. This is robbery. This is criminal! Most people cannot afford that kind of rate increase. NO HIGHER RATES.

I too have noticed just our water bill climbing. It was a bad decision for Bay County to buy the sewer plant with no customer base and not planning for sewer growth. Gulf Coast Co Op unloaded after they failed in support of Southport City. Ironic, we have water everywhere in this county fighting off high rates on bad decisions. NO TO HIGHER RATES.

We are a single income 3 person family. My husband works full time and I homeschool our son. Last month's bill was $128 this months: $239! This will devastate our family budget as we will now be paying more for water that electricity most months.

Please reduce our water costs. My bill this month was almost $200 and there are only two of us and a baby at home. This is ridiculous.

I am on a fixed income and this is making harder for me to meet all my obligations!
