All north Indio homes were sold on the promise of their kids going to school with the other north Indio neighbors. Many of us bought based on a lie! As a teacher in the district who pays exhorbonant mello-roo assessment fees to fund such projects, I find it insulting the residents of said place cannot send their children here. Seriously? Shame.

My son currently attends Eisenhower Elementary as this is his designated school. Why is he expected to attend Jackson school when New school is replacing Eisenhower? The proposed boundaries make no sense as my son and neighborhood kids will not have the ability to walk or ride their bikes to school given safety concerns. Will DSUSD be providing transportation to Jackson for students off of golf ctr? Reconsider boundaries to include all new neighborhoods North of I10 designated for new school!

Its absurd that the school is 2.1 miles from my home and my kids cant attend but we will be bussing kids from 48th Avenue. Please reconsider and adjust boundaries.

As a North Indio taxpayer, I'd like my son to be able to attend the new school on Gore Street. The school is very convenient for our proximity in Palazzo. Thank you.

Please consider all the added traffic due to the new businesses and the impact on the Jackson and Monroe bridge. Keep the boundary in North Indio.

With so many homes and young kids living in North Indio, it only makes sense for them to go to the local school and avoid causing more traffic and safety issues.

The whole situation is unfair we bought when my child was in kidder thinking she would have nice school to attend!!! Wrong almost straight years I've driven out of district so she could go to school now all of this xx traffic ect please also fix the roadways to accommodate all of the extra drama that will and has come !!!!

The boundary lines should include all of N Indio north of the 10 freeway. All the kids in these neighborhoods will transition to Desert Ridge for middle school and should all benefit from a school closer to home. There are plenty of options for families south of the freeway already.

Although I don’t have children who would attend the new elementary school, I will be impacted by the traffic. I find the boundaries ridiculous!! Please reconsider so the children who live within walking distance can enjoy the new school.

Change school zone. New school should be for north Indio residence. Eisenhower students should be transferred to all other elementary school on the south side of the freeway.

Boundries should be moved to accommodate shadow hills community. The community should have input on decisions of this sort.

Please redo the new Gore Street Elementary School boundaries to include all of North Indio (North side of I-10) and do not leave out those east of Jackson. Do not include the area across I-10 either. This current setup is ridiculous and will cause needless traffic over the one-lane Jackson overpass. Thank you.

Dividing north Indio into different schools is crazy, are kids grow up together with the neighboring communities, they play together and grew up together. I strongly urge you and the disctrict to reconsider the impact . Also traffic is horrible already crossing the I-10freeway this will only add to that situation.

We live off Monroe in Palazzo right across the street from the new school and we are still supposed to drive into Palm Desert to attend Ronald Reagan. When we purchased our home in 2015 we were told by the builder we would be getting a new school. I'm very angry that we can't go across the street to the new school and that we pay almost $7000 a year in property taxes to Indio that help funded this new school but yet we still have to attend a school in Palm Desert while the district is going to bus kids in from across the freeway!!! Maybe the homeowners that are benefiting from the new school the North side of Indio is paying for should have the same special assessments we do! These boundaries NEED to be re-aligned and maybe the city of Indio should reimburse us the special assessment for the new school since our children won't be going.

Why drive and cross a freeway when we can walk to school.
