I cannot believe that when I have kids that attend elementary that I am supposed to drive them across the freeway, when I can walk with them down the street.

Although we're in the boundaries of this school I agree that all the Gated Communities north of I10 should be the boundary of Oliphant Elementary.... school board should keep all residents south of I10 at Jackson Elementary cut back on Busing...Palazzo is right up the road and is still Ronald Reagan bound????? Does not make sense..

Yeah this does not make sense. We pay way higher taxes here in terra lago and they want to sendnus to a diffrent school other than the one thats down the street

Agree kids who live near each other should go to school together. WE pay higher taxes here! We should have a say!

It’s like modern day segregation.

I live in north indio/shadow hills and my daughter can’t even go to the school down the street. Our residents have been put on the side for the residents in the other side of freeway where they have several schools already. This is ridiculous. My higher taxes do nothing for my family!

Vote out Mike Duran and ANYONE ELSE that does not support neighborhood schools. If necessary, move your children to private schools and look for financial help to do so. Do all you can to cripple a stupid, self serving school board that does not take their taxpayers into consideration. Your school board members and Duran are condescending idiots with PERSONAL agendas. Send him your invoice for private school tuition since he doesn’t respect your higher tax’s.

I agree. Is there any way to propose the boundary line be extended further past Jackson St? I live off of GCP and would consider having my child attend the new school rather than Eisenhower.

This school should be for North INDIO only. Otherwise vote out current school board. Whose paying the most taxes?

We should be able to have a safe community school for our children. Why wouldn’t we be able to send them to a school within walking distance of our house? We could have a nice high rated school like Amelia Earhart...

Not Fair to residents off Jackson st

A mile away and my nephew won’t be able to attend, because he’s not in the zone? No logic in that one. Priority for students attending should be to the ones closest first!

I no longer have school age children, but with the high mellow roos payments I would be outraged if my children couldn't attend. I live in Terra Lago

We live across the street in Palazzo and were told when we bought our home we would be going to "our neighborhood school". I don't understand how you can build a school and only take a "few" kids from the North side of Indio and fill the school with kids that don't even live near it! You are wasting "our" tax money on buses bringing these kids into our "neighborhood school" and bringing a lot of unwanted traffic mean while we are being made to drive into anotber city for our children to attend school!! These boundaries make NO sense! Funny thing is WE are who elect school boards members and WE won't forget these boundarie issue when you members are up for re-election! You need to do right by the homeowners and re do these boundaries immediately!!

Please make Oliphant a neighborhood school which serves the local neighborhoods. It ridiculous to bus kids from all over, busing them past two other schools just to go to Oliphant. If they want to go, then let them apply for a transfer. Serve the nearby neighborhoods. We need a school.

These boundaries don’t make any sense. It should be all communities north of the freeway at least between Monroe & Golf Center Pkwy.

This is crazy! Listen to The People! How in the world do these boundaries make any sense. It's a North Indio school that should be meant for North Indio residents... you know, the ones that live within walking distance. shm

Boundaries need to be redrawn to better support the Shadow Hills community.
