What is the point in having a conservation area when important buildings are not conserved for future generations? This application should not even has passed initial stages. This shows that all this important these days is money!

I am appalled this beautiful historic building complex is going to be forsaken in the name of luxury housing . There us already an enormous amount of new housing stock being develooed in the area. This dilution of already scarce artistic quarters is shameful.

There are too many great buildings that need to be conserved in Hackney Wick and enough really bad one for developpers to work on.....

This corner of East London needs preserving. The rapid residential development in the area around the Olympic Park is a good thing but this particular area needs to retain it's character and heritage. Old needs to be able to sit alongside new to give the area an identity otherwise it just becomes another expanse of development that looks exactly the same as every other area like this in London. Please don't demolish this to make way for 'more of the same' residential blocks of apartments to be sold to rich overseas investors so they can rent them back at extortionate rates to people who actually want to live in London and contribute to the local culture and community.

This is a architecturally and historically significant building that needs protecting. Fish Island is a precious place and any new developments must take the fabric and character of the area into account, rather than demolishing our heritage for a quick buck.
