PETITION FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO REDAN PARK located at 2134 South Deshon Road Lithonia, GA 30058-5307. We are residents of Dekalb County who use REDAN PARK on a regular basis and would like some improvements to it. We love our community and would like for our park to reflect it. Listed below are: 1. Redan Park marquee for current park information 2. Redan Park event signs at main intersection for notification of registration 3. Better marketing of park activities 4. Park Pool 5. Dugouts on all fields 6. View plans for the gymnasium being built this year 7. Completion of the baseball fields located at the back of the park near the Disc field that is currently unused. 8. Install the new scorekeeper stands that were never put up. They are lying in a open field near Phillips Road. 9. Scoreboard on lower football field 10. Lights on lower football field 11. Resurface tennis courts 12. Lights for tennis courts 13. Spectator sitting at tennis courts 14. Repair lights for the lower parking lot (creates safety for late evening events) 15. Put a pavilion near lower football field and tennis courts 16. Concession stands bidding process 17. Football field striping contract process and reviewed 18. Sponsorships display rebuilt 19. Sponsorships process (display of signs, etc) 20. Create a Parent Advisory Board 21. Landscaping & grounds upkeep 22. Playground near tennis courts/lower field 23. Water, dirt and rock drainage on walking trail 24. Bathrooms need cleaning during games/events 25. Outdoor basketball courts 26. Improve the girl\'s softball program. 27. Put numbers on each baseball field to identify location. 28. Add soil to batting cage near lower parking lot that has been washed away. 29. Repair netting on 8 and under baseball field. 30. Desiginate two fields next to disc golf as baseball field due to the number of teams in the 2008 program. 31. Add batting cage for two lower baseball fields. 32. Build pitching mounds up to regulation. 33. Designate two lower baseball field for 8 and under only or add a fence to prevent ball from going into Phillips Road.
