South African Parkour has reached a stage where it has grown its own recognisable community of practitioners, with some members at advanced expert levels of capability comparable to the greatest international athletes. As such, we feel that 2013 is the year that SAs parkour collective be given a platform to express its growth and unity. We have been presented with a template for this platform, both timely and opportune in the form of the Mr Price Pro Ballito Beach Festival Parkour Series. This event runs concurrently with the Mr Price Pro Ballito, an event on the Prime ASP international surfing calendar. We aim to achieve the same levels of exposure and intense excitement witnessed through the Red Bull Art of Motion events. These competitions have inspired and given life and incentive to this idea.
