Closing the recycling depot isn't going green! Most of the over 60s in our 21 story condo won't be taking a bus to Coquitlam to drop off recuclables. recyclables.

It doesn't make sense to have residents drive to the new Coquitlam Transfer Station to drop off their recycling. The costs will be higher for New Westminster to cost-share with the Tri-cities on the recycling depot at CTS.

This council seems to be out of touch with what New Westminster residents want and need. I will not be driving to Coquitlam.

It is simply the wrong solution. The idea is to encourage responsible methods of materials removal. This increase our carbon foot print via more distance required to travel to “ new depot in Coquitlam “

Please don't close our recycling depot. It's been an important part of our community for years and it's a pleasure to go there. I've been to the Coquitlam Transfer Station and it's nowhere as accessible, fast, or friendly. We should make recycling as convenient as possible for everyone in our city.

Any government serious about mitigating the effects of climate change and consumer waste should be improving local access to recycling, not the opposite.

If land for a new pool is needed why not put the pool on the high school grounds after the completion of the new building. Please do not close our recycling depot !

Moving the recycle depot goes totally against community-oriented services that normally provided.

We need the recycling depot to remain where it is as we can bring all our different recycling items to this one very convient location versus driving to various separate spots for specific items per station.

It is convenient, friendly, clean, and close. Because I have a car I went to the other place which is to be the 'new recycle depot, and it was such a mess and stench that I couldn't be there. I never want to go there again. I know many people that have no vehicle and how would they get their items to the depot? If it is all ending up in the trash anyway do we really care about our community or our planet? I lived in Belgium and they had at least 9 different types of curbside collections plus a very clean, cared for depot for what they did not pick up. It provided jobs and kept they cities and environment clean and cared for.

Our recycling depot is important to meet the New West recycling goals. I will not drive to Coquilam for this service. Do not close our station.

We need a recycling depot in a central location, like the one we already have.
