Please don’t close the recycle depot . I collect recyclables from numerous different that aren’t able to take anywhere . This location is convenient. No traffic , no trains . That’s huge

Rediculous idea.

It is impossible for seniors to travel to Coquitlam, therefore more plastics will end up in regular garbage . etc.

Please rethink this closure - the residents of New West depend on this recycling depot! We are doing our part to be environmentally responsible

The New Westminster Recycling Depot has provided services utilized by my family as often as twelve times in a year. One of the very useful and user-friendly facts-of-life in New West.

I wrote a letter to the editor about this months ago. I fully support my fellow citizens in this effort. To shut down local recycling is an abdication of civic & moral responsibility for the environment. We cannot be a "Green City" without our own depot.

The recycling depot needs to stay in our city. It is ridiculous to expect residents to drive to United Blvd.

I currently take my recycling to the depot twice a month on foot. I load up my stroller with my 11 month old twins and 2 weeks worth of plastics not currently accepted in the curb. side pick up. If they move the depot, I will have to sit in traffic with my gas guzzling work truck. Great work City of New West.

Pretty sure this is a done deal. In hindsight, council might have considered a public consult. Or not. Taxpayers will pay more for garbage pickup, while losing a service they have supported and come to rely on. Wonderful.

We need more options for recycling, not less. Let's make New Westminster the leader of a recycling city

Closing the recycling depot only makes sense if there is a viable alternative. At this time there is no viable alternative.

This is the stupiest idea I’ve ever heard. Moving a recycling depot to another city? We need to encourage people to recycle not deter them. DON’T MOVE IT!

It doesn’t make sense to waste gas going all the way to Coquitlam. And not many people will take their recycling there to Coquitlam it is to time consuming and will cost us more money.
