It is very handy to have this facility in our community, if I had to drive further to dispose of my recyclables, I just might be tempted no to be so environmentally friendly.

If there isn't a place nearby to take the recyclables that the city wont pick up then they are more likely to end up in the landfill.

We moved to New Westminster in December, 2018. I was very impressed with the recycling facility and use it regularly. Frankly, I will not make the trip to Coquitlam to recycle - it is too inconvenient and time consuming. My family’s schedule makes taking an hour or more to do the recycling in Coquitlam too difficult. Please keep the depot in the same area it is presently in. We are a one car family, and I will still find it challenging to go to Coquitlam, for those without cars, it is much too hard to go to Coquitlam. Kindly reconsider. Thank you.

For just our condo complex alone, the closure will cause a hardship, It just does not make sense for a City that prides itself on being green and whose goal was once to be come the greenest city in the world, to not have our own recycling depot.

I agree with Barb Kendall...New West SHOULD be expanding the types of recycling picked up at curbside - NOT closing the recycling drop off facility. Too bad the City only cares about removing statues to pander to a select group of people, but ignores this issue which will impact EVERYONE in New West. I am not going to drive out to the new one considering the cost of gas , rentals and food.

Please don't move our depot. A move will absolutely result in more recyclables going into the landfill.

I think that this is one of the most short sighted decisions made by council. This will force people to get into their cars and drive much further and will result in people NOT recycling. Please rethink this.

There are many seniors that use this . It’s a bit far for them to cross the bridge to Queensborough.

More recyclables in the garbage!
We will be putting all our grass clippings in Kraft bags for the city to pick up as we have a large boulevard, front and back yard which we usually take to recycling as it doesn't fit in our collection cart.

Do not transfer our recycling station. This will become a nightmare for NW. In addition, NWers will stop recycling.
