How can a city be green when it outsources it's recycling? We need a designated recycling/green zone.

WT? Remember when Coquitlam did NOT want to pay for the Bailey bridge the city has such a short memory. What's really going on??

It’s already hard to get to the depot with glass, styrofoam and large cardboard with it being 8 minutes from my house. If I have to go to Coquitlam I won’t make it.

Keep a local depot please! That Braid to Brunette Coquitlam transportation route is busy enough without adding numerous short trips to a depot. It will be a nightmare.

NO!!!!
Do not close down our New West Recycling center!! A lot of people will just throw recyclables in the garbage. Or pick up all recyclables curbside
Our taxes are so damn high....and you want to take more and more away!!! Leave it where it is!!!

Very shortsighted of council to do something like this and with minimal public consultation. I believe it was the Easter long weekend. Interesting way to push something through.

For a city that wants to be "green" and cares about the environment this is truly inept decision making at its best.
