We are a HUGE city and we need this recycling depot! We can't just hope and assume that other cities will pick up our slack! Irresponsible!

Please do not move the depot. It’s within walking distance from the house. I won’t drive somewhere to recycle

There needs to be more easy and convenient opportunities to recycle - not less! Let's ban single use plastic too.

We use this all the time as do so many residents especially with recycling picked up every two weeks. Also with gardening, fall leaves. This would also help keep down the rodent population etc. Please we are trying to keep our city green and work towards a cleaner planet . Trying to teach the next generation the importance of recycling and this is not helping. New Westminster is a fast growing city and becoming more dense as the population increases. We need this. Let’s move forwards not backwards.

Recycling needs to be made easier, not harder.

So they impliment paper drinking straws to produce less plastic. Yet when you go to a dispensory for weed they have containors for individual joints that will get tossed right out after use (makes no sense right!!!).
Now they are going to shut down a depo. Who is running the show here regarding these STUPID decisions and when can we start to public EXECUTE these IMBECILES.

I’m rushing to do my spring cleaning for 2020 right now and recycling at existing depot. I will not drive to Coquitlam to do so - expect my garbage load to increase!

This is a disgrace! In a day and age when we are becoming more aware of the importance of recycling and other efforts to save our planet, this is what the city has decided?? Shameful!

As a growing, dedicated to recycling community, we deserve to keep our access to a depot. Please save our depot

Where will we recycle glass now? And paint? And anything else that the garbage companies don't take? New Westminster, come on! You can do better than this!! Or should we all move to Coquitlam where the people seem to be more eco-friendly??

Disappointing and short sighted. Not an action to be proud of. Please re-consider and provide community discussion.

Funny how things that the city knows that the tax paying public will disagree with, get pushed through without consultation!
