Use this site weekly, it's easy access makes recycling easier. Without it I would still try my best but it would be a much larger hassle at the new location since it will service so many more and take more time. More local recycling creates more recycling opportunities.

Tragic this is planned. Making it very inconvenient, and not possible for some, to take in their recycling, adding more traffic congestion in an already heavily congested area...none of this bodes well for us to continue to help the environment by recycling.

What a horrible idea. We need to be encouraging the act of recycling and not make it more difficult for our community!

Partner with Encorp Pacific to collect more items locally in NW if you have to. Don't want to drive all the way to Coquitlam

It's hard enough to get people to recycle. Why make it less convenient and harder? If the depot is moved, fewer people will take their recycling to the new Coquitlam depot and more recyclables, or waste-to-energy material, will end up in the landfill. Not to mention yard waste. Also, the distance to the new depot is greater. There will be more cars and traffic on the route resulting in more exhaust and a bigger environmental impact than what we currently have. There is no bus service to the new depot in Coquitlam, and no other services around the area. A trip to the depot can be made more productive with services around it (as with the current depot which is near the Canada Games pool and near the Royal Square Mall.) Please reconsider moving the depot. Make recycling great again.

It's a perfect location at the pool! Central and easy to get to. Why would they move it into another municipality and far away!

It would be very inconvenient to take out a recycling center from New West. Currently with it's location many people including myself can even walk over and bring recycling. If we had glass, plastic and styrofoam pick up from our homes then it wouldn't be so bad.
