This goes against trying to make a great city or keep a great city. This place is very well used and is a necessity. I will not save up and sort my recyclables and then try and find a way to get them all the way to Coquitlam and most others will not either. This is backwards thinking at its finest and signals an end to the kinds of things that has always made New Westminster a great place to live

This is one of the dumbest ideas I've heard in a long time. Council members who voted for this should be voted out of office.

Cost saving amounts to about $1 per person per year! We will likely just put our stuff in the garbage bin.

There's no reason the city can't both renovate the Canada Games Pool and keep this important piece of waste management infrastructure. The Coquitlam transfer station is too far to go for New Westminster residents.

Endless vehicle lineups and mass idling at the coquitlam dump. All while trying to save the planet! What a joke

The only way people are going to recycle is if it is easy and free. Otherwise it will go into the garbage or something nameless outdoor location.

Don’t do it! This depot has been invaluable in helping my family do the right thing and recycle countless items that would otherwise be put in the landfill

For all the reasons outlined in Mr. Fontaine's communique, the City of New Westminster should take all necessary steps to maintain our recycling depot.
