This location is convenient for a very large population, many of whom are seniors. I fear the new location will discourage many from recycling.

Crazy insane idea. We should be making it easier not harder to recycle.

I will not be driving from 20th and London for the Coq location. More for the garbage.

I agree this will definitely lead to more waste, I myself will be throwing out more in the garbage then recycling. We walk down right now, when it moves we’ll be forced to drive down in one of the worst traffic areas. We should open more smaller transfer stations around the city not close them. This is so typical of New Westminster, three steps backwards one forward!

This recycling facility is a necessity in our city. I pay tax to ensure I get this type of service. We cannot start going backwards.

I use this depot regularly. Getting out of New Westminster can take a long time due to the congestion at Braid & Brunett st. therefore I am likely to be discouraged in going there

I know of many seniors who walk their recycling to the depot near Canada games pool. They probably will not drive to coquitlam more recyclables in our landfills. Let’s first save our planet!!

That would be a shame as I live 2 blocks from the depot and there is always people using it no matter what day or time I go!

Why was this not discussed with NW residents first?

We need to keep the recycling facilities here in New Westminster so all of our residents can participate in recycling.

A big step backwards. We should be looking for better ways to recycle, not removing what we have

My neighbors say if the local facility is closed there is no point to recycling anymore if the city of New Westminster is a quiting.
