Most of you know me by my stage name "Gladius". I am a full time touring solo artist who performs live music around the United States in venues such as libraries, theaters, colleges, clubs etc.
The reason I am starting this petition is that my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/gladiusofficial got suspended without any prior notification/warning and my business completely depends on it and without it I would not be able to survive in the music industry.
Two weeks ago, I received an email from YouTube stating that ‘Due to severe or repeated violations of their community guidelines, my account had been suspended’. All of my embedded videos are gone, my video files disappeared, I cannot access my account, and years and years of work is suddenly gone.
I read through the guidelines and I am absolutely certain that I hadn’t done anything wrong. I did file an appeal but received an automated response saying that my account was still going to remain suspended. Once again they sent me a link to their guidelines page. There was no prior notification or warning of any sort, they just sent me an email and shutdown my channel.
All my performance videos that I recorded since the start of my career were only uploaded to my YouTube channel and because of the suspension I lost control of all my videos (You may have noticed a couple of videos are uploaded to a new temporary Channel)
It's not simply a matter of starting a new account but rather establishing a subscriber base. My most recent video EL Matador ( released earlier this year) was just about to hit 40,000 views, by far a new record for my channel and the subscriber count was really starting to take off...
I have tried contacting the company through emails, through community forums, online help center, as they do not provide any support via phone or chat but there is zero response from them.
This is my last hope to start a petition and get it signed by as many users as I could and hopefully get the attention of YouTube management as there is absolutely no other way to get hold of a human in that company otherwise.
I would greatly appreciate if you would take a minute to sign the petition, as this seems to be the last hope to recover my YouTube channel.

The massive wave of support proves that YouTube cannot act like an untouchable tyrant. Their automated silence is pathetic and we are proving that our community is too strong to be ignored.

Nonsense! We had this talented young man at our library. Thanks to his videos we were able to get to know his work. There is nothing in his videos that are in violation of any poilices. Whereas there are other channels that should be removed.
This great musician needs someone from YouTube to swiftly work with him to understand the specifics of the purported violations and give him an opportunity to remediate those specifics. In the meanwhile, his account should be reinstated.
Please restore this great YouTube channel for Gladius. No reason was given for closing it. Suddenly closing the channel with no preparation is harming this great artist.
I first heard Gladius perform at a library. My friends and I are fans, and want notice of future events as well as be able to hear his music on YouTube.
Please end your suspension until Gladius is given the opportunity to discover the specific reason for this action; then allow him the courtesy of presenting a defense. A person of such unforgettable talent deserves to be heard, both legally and musically.
At the very least a description of the content or behaviour that is being censored from Facebook should be supplied to the site owner. Something more than a link to a set of guidelines. What exactly are you offended by.

I live in an Independent Living Community. We have enjoyed Gladius performances several times and look forward to more. We cannot conceive of any reason to suspend his YouTube channel. Please restore his account as soon as possible.
