Reconsider "Tuckson" on SVU

Jessy United States, Brooklyn OMFG this keeps erasing my message I hope it goes through this time! BUT THIS PETITION IS LIFE. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS A THING. LIKE THE LAST POSTER SAID I ALSO HAVEN'T WATCHED, KINDA LOST INTEREST DURING SEASON 13 BUT I TUNED IN THE PAST 2 SEASONS AND WOW I'M JUST SHOCKED TBH. THAT OLIVIA BENSON ON SCREEN DURING SEASON 16 OR 17 IS NOT THE SAME ONE I FELL IN LOVE WITH. IF YOU HAVE TO CHANGE A CHARACTER SO MUCH MAYBE IT'S TIME TO CALL IT A DAY?

I think this ship is a blatant attempt to make Olivia believe that Tucker is some sort of "duplicate" of Elliot. Yeah, I said it. While, I haven't watched the show often the past few years, I did clock in a few times during S17 and I have to say that it was.... lackluster at best. Consistency was a big issue for me. I saw Tucker his few appearances and before it was revealed he was indeed in a relationship with Olivia, I didn't pick up any signs whatsoever that it was going to happen. I can totally understand the complaints of abruptness and no build up or explanation. It seems like a ham handed attempt to give Olivia a romance because some fans think she's the damsel in distress who needs a hero to save her and her son. I don't believe Tucker is that person, nor was he ever meant to be. He's the one there to cause ripples in the flow of the SVU, NOT some knight in shining armor. Sorry but fans will never seen him as anything other than the guy we love to hate no matter how much these writers want to randomly change that.

Olivia needs Elliot back in her life.

As an original viewer from day 1 I find it offensive that original viewers are shown such disrespect for any input they have about a show we've supported for many years. The only viewers who seem to be allowed an opinion are those who agree with everything the former SR & writers say when most have never seen more than a few seasons. I'm angry that fans who have watched longer than even the writers, admittedly so, are treated as a nuisance when they make very valid points of the current misguided direction of the show but hey keep listening to the grovelers it's working well for the show to get all those Emmy noms...right?.

Tucker deserves to be with someone who is LIKE him not Olivia. This ship makes olivia look like she's desperate enough to stoop to Tucker's level. I want my real Liv back. I want her to be concerned with the important things not bar hopping with a man who she has not disliked but pure hated nearly her whole career. Give us noah and liv and end this crap. olivia's not this desperate!

I'm signing this anonymously because I feel I will get bullied by other fans for not worshipping this ship. I do not like it, I do not think it fits who Olivia is and I think everyone should know despite me not being able to express this on my twitter. I follow a lot of people who interact with the writers and I think this is the best way for me to express it all. Thanks for this petition. I feel better about not liking it now.

I don't get this attempt at changing history between two characters. I can already tell by the attitudes of the writers this might fall on deaf ears because they want to hold this over not only over long time loyal fans, but particular shippers and I find that extremely offensive, on top of this ship. You can't take 15 years of hostile interactions with someone and then have one or two scenes of him being very vague with his intentions and turn it into a "relationship". Tucker is a side character with no history, how someone can say they have things in common is absolutely nonsense. There's only common ground all of a sudden because there's pandering involved and someone needs to scrap around for things that don't exist so they can 'continue', or try to, a ship that has a lot of discourse over it. End it and let Olivia be happy with her son. With him, she already has a lot on her plate including dealing with her on again off again PTSD.

Olivia Benson is one of my heroes, and I agree the path she's on with Tucker isn't a great one. All we want is for her to be happy and safe.

While I want Olivia happy and I don't straight up despise Tuckson, I would prefer someone else. Maybe give her a real social life with friends that she doesn't work with, don't just throw a man (that she's hated for years) at her and call it a day.
